The Second Installment of Meet My Team
I have been here a year now and I have learned many new technologies, words, and even developed a taste for geek humor. Besides the technical "stuff" that I have immersed myself in, one thing I am continually learning is, what a talented and amazing team I work with, not to mention, they are just plain cool too.
So, I decided you all should have the chance to get to know them too (you will thank me, just trust me).
Meet Wesley Kos
Wesley joined the ProWorks team in March of 2012, he is an Oregon State University graduate. Wesley is one of our software and web developers and we are very excited that he recently became Level 2 certified in Umbraco.
In My Experience
A warm smile, genuine good hearted laugh, sacrastic sense of humor and a team player mindset can make just about any project better, faster and more enjoyable. Well this is Wesley! From my office when I hear his chuckle it always brightens my day. He takes his work very serious but not himself, his collection of geek and sci-fi shirts are proof of that.
It isn't all fun and games, though, in the short time Wesley has been here, he has cranked out more than his fair share of great blog posts. Many of his blogs go on to be our best performing posts, his real, easy to follow and light-hearted take on the topics he covers have been well received by the dev community.
My favorite Wesley quote to date is:
"I'm sorry I would have made your clients coffee while they waited but I'm a socially awkward web developer and we don't do that"
In Wesley's Words
They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. While I don’t know who “They” are, it is a fairly accurate statement. I am one of the people who is lucky enough to love what I do for a career and it makes my work extremely enjoyable.
I love what I do so much I often go home and work on projects of my own. Currently I am making a video game with a friend on my free time. Other than programming I also love gaming, hiking, camping and spending time with my lovely wife (yay brownie points!).
I have known what I was going to do for my career my entire life, and thanks to Proworks I was able to accomplish this. The people that I work with are great! They are very nice and fun to work with. I wouldn't trade any of them for a different team member ever.
