Meet My Team: Alan Ballard - Talented Artist and Part-Time Viking
I have been here a year now and I have learned many new technologies, words, and even developed a taste for geek humor. Besides the technical "stuff" that I have immersed myself in, one thing I am continually learning is, what a talented and amazing team I work with, not to mention, they are just plain cool too.
So, I decided you all should have the chance to get to know them too (you will thank me, just trust me).
Meet Alan Ballard
My first "Meet My Team" is Alan Ballard our graphic designer. Alan has 6 years of professional experience as a web designer. With ProWorks, he is responsible for optimizing web designs for aesthetics and user functionality. Alan has designed user interfaces, web page templates, style sheets and graphical elements for ProWorks own commercial websites and for consulting projects.
In My Experience
I am starting with him because I have had a number of people that didn't know we had such a talented artist in house. I show them just a few of his portfolio pieces and I inevitably get a "HOLY S*&$ He's good!!" (or something similar).
Alan has been a huge help to me, from day one he has jumped in to help me with the silliest most mundane question or task, never making me feel stupid for not knowing or asking. My small jobs were never less important than our largest most intricate design builds.
Not to mention immediately embraced my love of glitter and shiny things all while sending me the BEST cat videos the internet has to offer.
A true artist doesn't always have to prove how "good" they are.
In Alan's Words
I've always had this drive to create stuff. I always doodled when I was younger, so I finally decided to develop that talent at OSU. I love to think visually and take concepts and bring them to life on the web. It's really gratifying for me to create a web design, break it out into HTML / CSS, and put it back together on the web in a way that our clients can easily access.
But most of all I love being a part of this awesome ProWorks team! I'd be nothing without them *tear"
